So, my last post was in OCTOBER of last year. Obviously since then, there have been lots of things happening in my life but I haven't gotten a chance to post about them!
I got one of the best Christmas presents ever...my second niece was born on Christmas Day!!
My husband has been applying for post-doctoral positions in mathematics. So far he's applied to around 22 colleges and universities. We'll probably be moving sometime over the summer. However, we don't know where we'll be moving TO...
This semester is my last at the University of Alabama. I'm set to graduate in May! :)
Well, that's basically what has happened over the past few months. I really hope that I can at least do a monthly update this year! ;)

Influenster
Hey, guys! Sorry I've been away for a while! School has obviously been in session for a while, so I've been busy with that. However, I just wanted to stop by and write about a website that I've been interested in!
The website is Influenster. You basically sign up, review different products (truthfully!), and get badges for completing the required reviews. In return, you could win a Vox Box, which is full of various products for you to try and review.
I've only been on this site for a few weeks, but it's been so much fun inputting my opinion on products I use every day. Try it out!
Much love,
Rebecca

Future Goals-Weight Edition
I am tired of looking in the mirror and feeling fat. I'm 5'3" tall and right now, I weigh in at 145.8 pounds. I started running around UA's Quad about a month ago, but due to the 100+ degree temperatures outside, I didn't want to risk heatstroke/exaustion, etc. My main form of exercise was swimming laps at the local YMCA. However, back in May, they closed the pool for renovations. And since I'm not taking summer classes, I can't utilize the pool at the Aquatic Center.
I have tried to cut out all carbonated beverages and chips/cookies/fattening foods. Sometimes I give in to my desire to have a Coke or a few chocolate chip cookies. Most of the time, I feel terrible about my decision to have the Coke or the cookies. I get discouraged. I have the MyFitnessPal app on my phone but sometimes that doesn't have the right food or recipe that I was using.
My goal is this: to lose 20 pounds by my birthday in December. I have reached a point where I want to look good in clothes again, to be able to sit down and not have a "pooch" hanging over my pants, and just to feel good about my body again.

My Husband is the Best Husband
I haven't blogged in MONTHS but I thought that I would share something that my wonderful husband did tonight.
Y'all. He bought me flowers. Just because he loves me. How sweet is that? :)
Maybe I'll blog more once my life gets a little more interesting. Haha.
May you have a blessed week!

A New Year...almost a month later.
Oops.
I haven't posted a new blog post since November. I suppose I'll do a bit of catching up for my few (read: less than 5) loyal followers. Heh.

- I have been married for 8 months. I've learned a lot about Caleb, mainly little idiosyncrasies (how awesome is that word!) like all the times he forgets to slide the medicine cabinet doors closed after he takes out his contacts, how he clamps his jaw together when he chews food, and his excessive coffee slurping. He says he's not slurping, but he is. I'll get it on video and post it in another blog post.
- My niece turned one year old. Since I don't want to post a picture of her without her parent's consent, you'll have to deal with knowing that she has quite a personality. She also likes saying, "Bites!" when she wants something to eat.
- I got a nook for Christmas. My aunt graciously lended me the Hunger Games trilogy and I read them all over a 3 day span over the break.
- I bought Caleb an awesome coffeemaker with a thermal carafe. Now his coffee stays hot almost all day. He still won't stop talking about it.
- Classes have started back; I have 3 MORE SEMESTERS!!!!! and I'm done.
- Lately I've been having really vivid, strong dreams. Violence is prevalent in almost all of them; the ones without violence deal with me expecting a child.

My Favorite Time of the Year!
Thanksgiving break has begun! I'm so excited that I will be able to see my family this week! I haven't seen my Momeena, aunts, uncle, and cousins since my wedding back in May. I'm glad that I have a three day break to enjoy time with family and to RELAX. Of course, we'll see Caleb's family, too.
Hopefully next year I can actually decorate for the holidays. My decorating this year consisted of a pumpkin-scented candle for Thanksgiving; I also carved a pumpkin for Halloween. Christmas decorations will most likely consist of a lone snowman decorative candle (that will not be lit) perched atop the DVD shelves and a peppermint candle (that will be lit). Oh, and a Christmas tree, but our apartment is so small that I don't know where we'll put it. Maybe we'll get a miniature one and put it on the coffee table. I love miniature things, and most likely I'll use it for when Caleb and I have a bigger space to decorate.
Have a safe and blessed Thanksgiving!

The Day I Went to Walmart (by myself) and Survived
I don't like Walmart. Well, I don't like the types of people who shop at Walmart. However, Walmart is much cheaper than Publix and Target. Off to Walmart I went. By myself. Oh, joy!
I walked in. I got a buggy that made noise and meandered to the produce section. I stopped because the aisle was blocked. Commence awkward "Excuse me's" to strangers. I moved on to the grocery items. Stopped again because people were blocking the aisle. More "excuse me's" were exchanged. I neglected to bring a pen so I could cross off each item as I put it in the buggy. So, I was trying to navigate Walmart and remember which items I still needed to get, which meant my already stressed-out brain was getting frazzled by the second. Aannd, I forgot to buy bread.
There is a bright side to this solitary Walmart trip, though! I discovered Nutella; it is made of lollipops and unicorns and rainbows.
